Historic City Center of salvador
There are many people who believe that Salvador’s Historic City Center is limited to the colorful Pelourinho area. However, the area comprising historical sites extends far beyond the limits of the city founded by Tomé de Souza, ranging from Castro Alves Square until Santo Antonio Além do Carmo.
Recorded by UNESCO as part of Humanity’s Heritage, Salvador has thousands of houses from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.
